The chronograph collectors chase
The Daytona's proportions are unforgiving — three subdials, a tachymetric bezel and pump-style pushers all have to sit in balance. Our 1:1 build follows the original's dial layout precisely, with the correct subdial diameters, azurage circular graining and printed scales aligned to the applied indexes.
The ice-blue dial is the signature of the platinum reference, paired here with a chestnut ceramic bezel whose tachymetric scale is filled in a contrasting bright tone. The screw-down pushers actuate a real chronograph: start, stop and flyback reset with a single, crisp column-wheel-feel action.
Case surfaces are brushed on the lug tops and mirrored on the flanks, and the bracelet closes on a folding clasp with the crown motif in relief.

Before anything is built, the authentic reference is documented: case dimensions, lug taper, dial print, bezel font, bracelet articulation. Nothing is approximated from a photograph.

904L-grade stainless steel for the case and bracelet, genuine ceramic bezel inserts, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, and 18k gold applied by DLC coating where the original uses gold.

A cloned Swiss-architecture automatic calibre — the same layout, jewel count and decoration as the original, with a smooth sweeping seconds hand at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Chronographs actuate for real.
