The Reference

Gold with rubber was the combination that brought the Daytona into the present. The warmth of the case against the matte black ceramic bezel gives the watch enormous presence at 40 mm without becoming ostentatious.
The dial pairs a bright base with contrasting registers and gold-framed applied indexes; the chronograph seconds sweeps from a central gold hand.
The strap is moulded elastomer over a flexible metal blade, mounted on integrated end links so there is no gap at the lugs, and closes on a gold-finish folding clasp.

904L-grade stainless steel for the case and bracelet, genuine ceramic bezel inserts, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, and 18k gold applied by DLC coating where the original uses gold.

A cloned Swiss-architecture automatic calibre — the same layout, jewel count and decoration as the original, with a smooth sweeping seconds hand at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Chronographs actuate for real.
