The Datejust is the least dramatic and most useful design in the canon — no rotating bezel, no chronograph, simply a date, a beautifully lit dial and proportions that disappear under a shirt cuff.
Our build focuses on the two details that betray weak replicas: the fluted bezel, machined rather than pressed so the flutes hold a sharp mirror, and the Jubilee bracelet, with tightly articulated five-link rows and no play at the end links.
The blue dial is a genuine sunburst — brushed radially from the centre so it moves from near-white to deep navy as you turn the wrist — with applied white-gold-finish indexes and a Cyclops-magnified date.

The reference is measured
Before anything is built, the authentic reference is documented: case dimensions, lug taper, dial print, bezel font, bracelet articulation. Nothing is approximated from a photograph.

Materials are matched, not substituted
904L-grade stainless steel for the case and bracelet, genuine ceramic bezel inserts, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, and 18k gold applied by DLC coating where the original uses gold.

The movement is cloned
A cloned Swiss-architecture automatic calibre — the same layout, jewel count and decoration as the original, with a smooth sweeping seconds hand at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Chronographs actuate for real.
